A Sea-Facing Residence, Mumbai
A Contemporary Mumbai Home Where Conversation Meets Curated Detail
Set on a high floor overlooking the Mumbai coastline, this sea-facing 4BHK residence, designed by Concept Consilio, in Andheri–Lokhandwala, is imagined as a contemporary home, where elegance is built through restraint. Practicality, storage, and comfort form the foundation of the design, while art curation and material layering give the interiors their defining character. Every space is composed with intention, crafting a home that feels personal and expressive, where artworks, finishes, and spatial transitions shape the atmosphere as much as the architecture itself.
The project evolves into a complete reimagination of the interiors. From the entry to the master suite, the residence is redesigned to reflect a refined, straight-line contemporary language, while remaining rooted in the client’s need for a functional and practical home.
This residence exemplifies how a functional, practical home can also carry depth, personality, and narrative clarity. Through its conversation-led living and dining areas, the intimate navy-toned den, and carefully curated artworks, each space contributes to a layered, cohesive experience that balances everyday usability with refined aesthetics. Ultimately, the close involvement of both architect and client remains central to residential design, as the home is created for the client to inhabit and experience for years to come.
Guest feedback reinforces the impact of the design, with visitors describing the ambience as being comparable to a hospitality space. Thus, the project remains grounded in everyday usability by balancing storage, comfort, and spatial clarity with a refined design language shaped through art and material composition.
