An Experiential Workplace for a Gaming Pioneer, Hyderabad
Where Digital Culture Takes Physical Form
A leading gaming company, based in Hyderabad, wanted a new office space to house its 800-strong workforce with provisions for future expansion. The brief emphasised an environment that was vibrant, dynamic, and deeply resonant with a Gen Z and millennial workforce.
The design, spanning 90,000 sq.ft. across two floors, creates an ecosystem that mirrors the fast-paced nature of the digital gaming universe. The key challenge was the need to physically and experientially connect the two large floor plates. This was resolved through an internal staircase placed near the reception and gaming arena, designed as the heart of the office. The gaming arena near the entrance is designed in such a way that it remains active around the clock for clients and visitors equipped with digital displays, reinforcing the company’s core identity.
The intervention ensures seamless movement between the two floors, anchoring the spatial narrative around a shared social and brand-centric hub. The planning is strategised in a way where collaborative work zones surround a central core so that the working zones have access to natural light. Each quadrant integrates smart tech-enabled meeting rooms, team tables, focus pods, and phone booths to support both collaborative and hybrid work modes. Adjacent to the vertical connection are flexible training rooms with sliding partitions that can expand to accommodate events and town halls.
Drawn from the company’s infinity-inspired logo, a colour palette of teal and turquoise punctuates the arrival and collaboration spaces, while energetic accent colours animate quiet focus areas. The interior scheme pays a nod to local influences. References to traditional fabric patterns like Kalamkari textiles appear in soft furnishings, loose furniture, and custom lighting elements such as cane lamps and printed fabric shades.
The workspace features several amenities for rest and well-being, enabling staff to disconnect and allow themselves moments of respite. These include wellness rooms, prayer spaces, mothers’ rooms, and accessible social zones. Together, these strategies create a workplace that feels less like a conventional office and more like a dynamic environment shaped by collaboration, culture, and brand identity.
